Inspiration at your finger tips

Images Copyright Stampin' Up! 1989-2010

Our team challenge this month was to use the Idea Book & Catalogue for inspiration, find a card layout we like and create a card. We could only use one colour family plus neutrals. and only one stamp set. I have adored this challenge - it really has been inspiring.
The card at the top is the one I choose on page 126 of the Idea Book and Catalogue, underneath is the one I created.
I used:
Stamp Set: Bugs & Kisses
Card Stock: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Rose Red
Ink: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Rose Red
Accessories: Brocade Blue 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, scallop edge punch, mat pack, stampin dimensionals.
The next challenge was to select another card layout and create another card using the same stamp set and colur family as the first card. I have created two, I'll post them soon.

Just for Jada

Images copyright Stampin' Up! 1989-2010
I created the card using the whale image while away camping with some wonderful friends (yes all the Stampin stuff went too - unfortunately didn't create as much as we thought), this card was then made by Jada Murray age 8, isn't it cute, I love the Tempting Turquoise and Pixie pink colour combo, and with any girly project she added some dazzling diamonds for a bit of bling.
Thanks for letting me share this Jada.

The New Mini is here

Here it is, the new mini catalogue. Click the image on the side bar to download a pdf of the catalogue or drop me a line and I will get one to you. Unfortunately for me I haven't had a chance to play with some of my new things yet, so many pressing things on the to do list at this time of the year.

I am looking forward to Monday's Create night where I will hopefully get a chance to do just that, create, surrounded by a great bunch of people. Come and join us.

My lives merge

At this time of the year there is so much going on, I try to compartmentalise my life, but when life gets busy they run into each other. This is the time of the year for celebrating all that we have done and achieved. So for our last Guide meeting my challenge was to "make it special" as part of my ongoing professional development. I needed to do a badge presentation, and you know how much I like bags, so here is the stack for the girls which we are going to put their badges in to present them with. I hope they like them, especially as I'm now unable to be there as it is Master 1's school prize giving evening.

For the bags I used the retired in colours, which so of you may not recognise. I'm busy trying to use all my bits and pieces up as I need to make some room for all my new crafting essentials.
