Season of Joy Class

By Carolyn Loveday, Images copyright Stampin" Up! 1989-2009

Yes I am already gearing up for Christmas, I know that it will creep up on me and be here before I know it. I am holding a Season of Joy class for $15 on 24 September, where we will make four projects using this stampset. It was this time last year that I purchased this stampset as a customer at a workshop, would I have ever imagined that a year later I would be having a ball being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. At the time I spent hours pouring over the catalogue, and this was the set I chose as a birthday gift from Mum (Thanks Mum!), it is such a versitile set, I'm still finding new ways to use it.
For this card I used the tag punches to make the star/flower (I have been waiting all year to do this), vellum paper, ski slope designer series paper from the latest mini catalogue, and hardware from the hodge podge kit.
Bookings for this class are essential. Contact me today to save your place (09) 2383878 or fencarrowsmum@gmail.com.

Birthdays Galore

For our family it has certainly been birthday week. Master 1 turned 8, along with that many of our friends have also had children with birthdays. As a result the weekend has seen a number of birthday parties. Of course at the last minute we needed birthday cards. I have been mulling over this design for a few weeks, ever since the Choo choo stampset from the spring mini catalogue arrived. I had actually been thinking Christmas and Christmas colours, with a train load of presents. This is the birthday version a couple of friends received this weekend. For this I used
Stampsets: Choo choo & Loads of Love Accessories stampsets, On track wheel,
Cardstock: Tempting turquoise, brilliant blue and whisper white
Ink Pads: basic black, tempting turquoise, brilliant blue, green galore, and real red ink.
At the moment I'm into making cards that are a long fold, I think it makes them a little differnt and doesn't cost a cent.

What a day

Wow what a wonderful of day of stamping and papercrafting at Stampfest. Thank you to the 40+ people who helped make the day. I certainly enjoyed meeting a whole lot of new people as well as catching up with some familiar faces. It's days like today that makes us realise what a small world we live in, with a number of ladies catching up with people they haven't seen in years.

Congratulations to Yvonne who won the great prize pack, with all those wonderful goodies (whisper white and in colour card stock, bella rose designer paper, eyelet boarder punch, dreams de jour stamp set, 4 ink pads and a SNAIL). Disappointed it wasn't you who won the pack, don't despair, we will be giving away another great prize pack (contents yet to be determined) at the next Stampfest on 7 November 2009, 9 am-3.30pm, Harvest Church, 3 Beach Rd, Papakura. Cost $50 for full day and $35 for a half day. Book today and pay by 15 August and receive 3 tickets for prize pack draw as an Earlybird registration. Get a friend to register and pay early too and get 2 more tickets for the draw.

I will let you know as soon as possible what the prize draw pack will include and some pictures of the projects we are planning to do. Contact me to book you place ((09)2383878 or fencarrowsmum@gmail.com).

In the mean time, happy stamping, I must go and finish unpacking.

Spring Mini Catalogue out now

Welcome to the new Stampin' Up! mini catalogue. I'm really excited about what's in this mini, it's not a question of what to buy, but what not to buy, I want it all. I guess that means I'll just have to keep working. It is one of the great benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I get to earn money while having fun, which in turn means I can get many of these wonderful new items in this mini catalogue. If you are interested in joining my team, I'd love to share this great job with you, or book a workshop and see some great new projects.

Click the image on the side bar to view, or contact me (09)2383878; fencarrowsmum@gmail.com and I will send one out to you.

Happy viewing.
